Reducing emissions of sulfur dioxide during coal combustion associated with dry desulphurization of flue gases by limestone is necessarily associated with an increase in carbon dioxide emissions. The article presents complex technological data associated with the increase in carbon dioxide emissions, while ensuring the newly applied emission limit of 200 mg SO2 m–3 of combustion gases for the model power equipment with a power input of more than 300 MW.
