Abstract

Applications of HPLC and determination of pyrethroids in different matrices (soil, water, air, fruits, vegetables and others) are reviewed. Their analysis still attracts attention due to their wide use as both household and industrial insecticides on one hand and controversial nature of their use on the other. From the analytical point of view, the problems lie in difficult separation of enantiomers and diastereoisomers because almost all pyrethroids are chiral compounds with 1-4 chirality centers.
