A look back at the 23ʳᵈ annual conference Interdisciplinary Meeting of Young Life Scientists (http://www.interdisciplinarymeeting.cz/) brings not only our current editorial, but also its extended version published by our editor Eva Benešová in the journal ChemistryViews.
We wish you a pleasant reading.
Rádi bychom naše autory upozornili na velmi zajímavou knihu z Vydavatelství VŠCHT Praha:

Starting from October 2023, the journals Chemické listy (including its Bulletin) and the Czech Chemical Society Symposium Series (CCSSS) are moving to new licensing terms introducing Creative Commons BY 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0 International) license.
Chemicke Listy get a new, significantly increased value for the impact factor (IF2022 = 0.6), which is the highest since 2010
The Czech Republic has moved closer to countries that support "Open Access" publishing. Authors from institutions affiliated with the CzechELib system can now publish an article in any of Wiley's hybrid journals (subscription-based journals that offer the author the option of open access) without having to pay an Author Publication Charge (APC).
The A*Recenze portal, which provides consumers with information to help them choose appliances, products, or services, recently published the article The Best Shampoos According to Test and Reviews 2022 (author: Dana Široká), which also used as an information source the paper Hrádková I., Kumherová M., Šmidrkal J.: Preservatives in Cosmetics, Chem. Listy, 115 (10), 554–556 (2021).

After several years, we have witnessed a rebirth of this interesting series of lectures jointly organized by Czech, Slovak and German Chemical Societies and focused on the progress in the field of electrochemistry, as evident from the names of outstanding electrochemists from the three countries.
The lecture entitled Electroanalytical Flow Systems in Process Analysis was delivered by Professor Ernest Beinrohr online on January 31, 2022.
On 9 and 10 February we commemorate the two days in which polarography was born. And this year marks exactly one hundred years since this major historical milestone.
We bring you, our esteemed readers, a greeting sent to our editorial office by Dr. Raja Heyrovska, the daughter-in-law of Prof. Jaroslav Heyrovský.
I would like to send this short greetings to Chem. Listy:
"Happy century of polarography"
Hundred years ago on February 10, Jaroslav Heyrovsky used renewable dropping mercury electrode as a tool for obtaining the current, voltage curve for dissolved solutes in solutions. Thus, polarography was born and has now stood a century as a unique electrochemical method thanks to the renewable fresh metal/solution interface which makes the current, voltage curves absolutely reproducible.
May polarography thrive!
Raji Heyrovska
We are very pleased to announce that our journal has started using the DOI (digital object identifier) system from CrossRef for its articles starting in 2022. The DOI is intended to accurately describe and identify a document on the Internet so that it is always traceable.
Dear readers,
we would like to inform you that during September there were several changes in the Editorial Board of our journal.
We welcomed two new members,
Ing. Michal Jurášek, Ph.D. (organic and bioorganic chemistry) and
doc. RNDr. Petr Šmejkal, Ph.D. (chemistry teaching, general chemistry).
We would like to wish them all the best in their new editorial roles.
At the same time, our Editorial Board has been abandoned by long-time editor prof. Ing. Zdeněk Bělohlav, CSc., who worked in the editorial office of our journal for almost 30 years. The entire editorial staff of Chemicke Listy sincerely thanks him for all the invaluable work and all the time he devoted to our journal, and we wish him every success and all the best in his future endeavours!
