Abstract

Thanks to its easy experimental accessibility the fundamental research in electrochemistry often leads to practical applications. As successful examples, studies of dispersion of solid particles in solutions or complex research of nanoparticle properties can be cited. Most promising topic in bioorganic chemistry is the catalytic hydrogen evolution at mercury electrodes, which allows to analyze and determine essential species in nanomolar and lower concentrations.
