Abstract

Various preparation methods of 2-oxazolines are surveyed. The majority of syntheses is based on substitution followed by cyclization of common aldehydes, acids, acid chlorides, esters, amides, and nitriles. The less frequent methods of 2-oxazoline synthesis are also included.
