Abstract

The contribution deals with current as well as new trends in the field of the assessment of fuel oils and their application in the market. New findings for marine fuels and the limits of the sulfur content are included. Furthermore, the methods for assessing the stability of fuel oils are described, especially that of the total sediment determination. The article presents a critical and comprehensive view of the issue of the fuel oils.
