Abstract

Reliable measurements of radionuclides are important for determining environment quality and radiation safety as well as for monitoring regulatory compliance. Soil and biological samples containing U from a Slovak locality and reference samples without U were compared. The existing techniques were modified to make it possible to cope with unusually large and complex samples. Statistical methods were used to verify and confirm the obtained results.
