Abstract

This article is deals with the use of a dynamic reaction cell in ICP-DRC-MS. It is focused on problems of spectral interferences of polyatomic ions and provides a summary of reaction mechanisms in the gas-state ion-molecule chemistry, generation of interfering ions and their elimination. The use of ICP-DRC-MS in analysis of samples of different origin, such as environmental, biological and inorganic samples, is also discussed.
