Abstract

Biobutanol can be used as a biofuel in the same manner as bioethanol in spark ignition engines. This work deals with water solubility and phase stability with water of biobutanol-gasoline (up to 10 v/v %) of biobutanol. Miscibility of butanol-gasoline blend with water is limited. During the phase separation at negative temperatures 1-butanol remained in the gasoline-phase and the water was separated in the solid form.
