Vliv složení elektrodové hmoty na extrakci zinku z vypotřebovaných Zn/MnO₂ baterií
Waste alkaline and zinc-chloride Zn/MnO2 batteries were subjected to grinding and particle size separation. Zn and Mn extractions by leaching were studied. The size fractions were leached successively in water and in 15% H2SO4 to study kinetics of Zn and Mn extraction. Almost 100 % Zn and ca. 20 % Mn were extracted from alkaline Zn/MnO2 batteries. Depending on the particle size of the leached electrode materials 85–98 % Zn and ca. 30 % Mn were obtained from zinc-chloride Zn/MnO2 batteries or from their mixture with alkaline batteries. Leaching residues are valuable Mn waste materials.
