The title objective of this work was achieved using diffuse reflectance IR spectrometry. Chemometric calibration models were used for the determination of chlorite, muscovite, albite and quartz. Principal component analysis (PCA) and partial least-squares (PLS) regression were used in chemometry at 4000–2750 cm–1 and 1300–400 cm–1. The models were formed by PLS regression. The mean relative error up to 30 % was found for most controls. With the exception of two samples, the relative standard deviation up to 5 % was achieved.
