Modified Polyimides

Abstrakt

Aromatic polyimides exhibit very good overall resistance also at elevated temperatures and are therefore employed in advanced applications. The range of their properties and potential applications can be increased by substitution of a part of polyimide backbone with other moieties. Selected procedures of the preparation of such modified polyimides, their properties and application are presented. Special attention is paid to crosslinked modified polyimides with some properties superior to linear products.
