Fuels and Motor Oils at the Early Stages of Automotive Industry

Abstrakt

The article reviews the development of fuel and motor oil quality at the early stages of automotive industry. Main attention is devoted to the 1920–1950 period. Basic aspects of engine development are also discussed as the engine construction is closely related to oil quality.
