New Cell for Measurement of Liquid-liquid Equilibria and Solid-liquid Equilibria by Direct Analytical Methods

Measurement of liquid-liquid equilibria (LLE) and solid-liquid equilibria (SLE) by direct analytical methods means performing analyses of liquid phases. The precision of results depends not only on analytical methods used but also on sample handling. - The contribution shows new cells for measuring LLE and SLE by direct analytical methods. The cells allow the samples to be handled in a more comfortable way and so to reduce possible errors. - As an example of applications the phase diagram (LLE and SLE) for the system 1-octanol and dimethyl phthalate is presented.
