Ion-interaction reversed-phase chromatography employing various commercial octadecyl (C18) stationary phases was used to separate mixtures of sulfonated azo dyes, with a mobile phase containing tetrabutylammonium hydrogensulfate (TBAHS; 0.1–0.2 mmol l-1) as ion-interaction agent. Using UV detection at 250 nm, detection limits ranging from 0.11 to 1.1 mg l-1 were obtained
